Frequently Asked Questions

Any seed- or early-stage startups and projects can apply to BigBooster. The applicant must be more than 18 as of the date of entry.

The key requirements are an innovative solution with POC or a prototype/demo, and an international ambition.

A referent is recommended to be mentioned in the application who can testify on the technology relevancy, the steadiness of the co-founders, and the existence of the startup/project.

It is not necessary that the startup is created/registered or the project is incorporated to take part in BigBooster.

To apply startups have to be in one of the following fields:

  • Bio & Health (Life Sciences, Health, Biotech, Medtech, e-Health, Foodtech, Agritech)
  • Informative Tech (High Tech, Hardware, Robotics & IoT, Education Tech & Entertainment, B2C or B2B solutions, Big data enabling Solutions, Smart Factory)
  • Global Impact (Cleantech (Energy, Air, Water), Design, Environment, Social Impact Transport & Mobility, Smart Cities, Material & processes, ... )

Through the BigBooster website or any other application link:

  1. Set up your personal account by filling in the identification page
  2. Once the identification page is submitted, you will receive an email to access your personal account
  3. Access your personal account using the elements provided in the confirmation email
  4. Submit your application including:
    • A Startup profile executive summary as per the dedicated fields
    • An Attached documentation including a compulsory pdf file with key information detailing:
      • Market Need and Company Solution
      • Market analysis
      • Value Proposition
      • Business Model
      • IP and Regulatory situation
      • Team documentation
      • Financials (P&L, current investors, advisors... if relevant)
      • Company next steps

Only startups selected to attend the Booster camp in Lyon will be charged with the participation fees.

The Lyon Booster Camp will be held on November 14-16th in Lyon - France.

Applications are evaluated by the selection committee with the following list of criteria:

Societal benefit, Market attractiveness, Business proposition innovation level, competitive position and overall quality of the application.

Yes, the Sponsors, Mentors and Experts who are industry experts and/or investors from the financial community will be announced later this year on the BigBooster website.

Applications are reviewed by a selection committee. The information on your application remains absolutely confidential and is restricted to the selection committee, the BigBooster team and partners who sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement.

The only information made available on BigBooster website for the Top 50 startups selected post Lyon Booster camp will be the one that are integrated in the Executive summary of the application file.

Top 100 startups/projects will be notified no later than October 3rd

You can submit as many different startups or projects as you wish. However a startup or a project can be submitted only once.

No fees are required to submit your application. Fees will only be applicable to the applicants who are selected and confirm their participation for the Lyon Booster camp.

The registration fees for the Lyon Booster camp are:

  • 300 € per startup and per representative. Accommodations are included for those who come from outside the Auvergne Rhône Alpes area. Transportation to and from Lyon is at the startup's own expenses.

Participation fees will be required for next phases (Booster Hub, DemoDay and Booster Camp USA, China, EMEA) to cover local accommodations. Travel are not included.
